What do YOU want for Christmas?

Post by Coops on 3/12/2015, 10:16

Have we had one of these yet?

Do you have a list of things you'd like, or do you have no idea and wish people would stop asking?!

I'd really like a photo album to putting wedding photos in, a refresh of my acrylic paints and maybe some brushes, chocolate truffles and new slippers. I also fancy some interesting candlesticks/holders.

I'd also like for my first time hosting Christmas to be a success!

I would like a nice pair of wellies as my ancient, much-loved, pair have died. I've seen some lovely Joules ones, but they seem so expensive. To go with the wellies I would like some welly socks (the long fleecy ones you can fold over the top of the wellies).

Other than that, I honestly don't really *want* anything this year.

no idea. anything I want at the moment is connected with things I need for the house such as a stair carpet, but that is in no way something that should be a Christmas present in my opinion. I dont need new clothes, or shoes, or makeup that I cant just buy for myself and really cant think of anything else that I want. Just asked my parents for some spending money for morocco as it's all I can think that isn't purely something practical

I love that spoon Dolly - although, appears to have a design flaw wink

Wellies are oddly expensive, I really like the bright designs of Joules wellies though - you should totally get some. Also I'm imagining they may come in handy when trampling about the countryside with a small thing next year smile.

I'm a bit like that Juggs, I've asked my brother and SIL for a voucher towards a meal at a restaurant as we don't really need more stuff.

My MIL is buying me this http://www.peterclose.com/oriental_cat_sculpture.html which is incredibly generous but she's been very insistent, also I've wanted a bronze for so long, when I was little there was a shop on Glastonbury high street that had them in the window and I'd always insist we go to the cat shop. Also the sculptor is local to where I grew up. It's totally frivolous.

I have bought a bracelet for my sister to get me! It was just easier, she'll give me the money and wrap it.

I've suggested a couple of things to GC - a watch, necklace etc.

I would also like some wellies but will probably be getting them myself.

I was thinking the other day I'd quite like a jigsaw puzzle  loser

Pjs, socks, knickers - it's not christmas without them!

Ooh, that's not loser at all - we are thinking of getting one to do over Christmas. smile

Love those wellies Dolly, but I get quite muddy so not sure the bow is necessarily practical for me.

I've got my eye on these: https://www.surfdome.com/joules_wellington_boots_-_joules_matt_welly_wellington_boots_-_olive-227873

(Which I realise are quite boring really, but I like green wellies and I have tried a pair of Joules on and they are so comfy, you are right Dolly!)

    Or these: http://www.countrywidefarmers.co.uk/pws/ProductDetails.ice?ProductID=31116

    (Which are a bit jollier!)

I've already ordered a puzzle gerrin it's a Raymond Briggs Snowman one - makes me feel very Christmassy! No idea how I'll do it with the kitten about, he's liable to eat the pieces but hey.

I really, really like the robin ones Nina. The green are nice too. I don't where I'd be without my wellies.

I went for a mooch around the shops with my mum this afternoon and found THE perfect slouchy grey leather bag. She very kindly bought it as my Christmas present. heart

Also found some lovely boots in Clarks that I might see if Mr Neener would like to contribute towards (although I am torn between black and brown!!).
