    Plans/projects rather than resolutions

Post by La Bomba on 28/11/2015, 16:05

I've been mulling over some projects for the near future and they are:

Organise my photos into frames and put them up around the house. I've accumulated lots of pretty frames and they're just lying around empty which is just daft.

Get a print put onto canvas of a couple of lovely photos I've got and put them up in the lounge.I think wowcher do this kind of thing?

Start my bloody writing in earnest. Again!  Bang Head I've got so many ideas buzzing about in my head that I just need to get organised.

Start my swimming again, probably in the early Spring. And take Esteban again too.

Take Esteban to some baby music classes. They look like a laugh. Do any other mums/aunties/uncles on here do that?

Start cooking and baking cakes some more. I really enjoy it so want to make more time for it.

So what about you? What are you planning?

I took Finlay to a music class when he was about 6 months, he wasn't impressed so I didn't bother again but I think for older babies or toddlers it could be fun

My key project will be finding a job, I'd like to redecorate the house too next year and crack on with the garden and start a veg patch

    Thanks for replying, Dolly.

How is the job applying going? I know you updated your cv recently so feel free to ignore the following but when I was applying for positions back in the summer, I asked Fluff to help me with my cv and letters of app. She did a great job so could maybe help you out too? Good luck with it all smile

What decorating ideas do you have for your house? I'd like to do some small redecorating stuff too.

My key project is to start saving for a house deposit. One of my projects for this year has been to pay off my credit card debt and that is done so we're free to start to save some money now.

    Hey Bom,

I had a one to one session with a business coach and she gave e lots of pointers about my CV, I applied for a couple on Thursday, one I didn;t get through the agency and the other I've not heard anything yet, I had an interview a couple of weeks ago but didn't get it but I'm not too disappointed.

I'm struggling to get motivated to apply, ity's so soul destroying, I'm going to ergister with some agencies I think and hopefully something will come up.

If I do find a job quickly I can spend some of my redundancy on the decorating, our house is a blank canvas really, it's just a little dated, lots of embossed painted wallpaper and dark wood Yuck I'm thinking grey/blue or a sagey green for the living room, not sure about the other rooms yet, I've been pinteresting but can't find much other than grey!

My project is to find a full time job too.

I also want to do the photo thing like you Bom.

I want to completely overhaul my wardrobe - bin/donate the crap and really think about what actually suits me/goes with other things in my wardrobe.

Our plans for the New Year include:

New TV unit (with additional storage) for living room - I want one of those ones that is fixed to the wall and has storage above, below and either side of the TV.

Re-organise the conservatory with proper storage!

New king-size bed for the main bedroom with... you guessed it... lots of storage underneath!

Other storage-based projects here and there around the house.

    Decorate the nursery!

So yeah, mostly storage for us this year - I am determined that 2016 will be the year I get organised and have a tidy home.

I'd like to get preggers next year too lol

GC is broadly in agreement, but we're talking like the end of next year providing things keep going well between us. My lease is up in June and the plan is to move in together then, all being well.

Lots of positive stuff on here gerrin

I am still pondering this as I failed so miserably last year! Also, I had such high hope for 2015 and it's been spectacularly shit. So I'm not feeling it just yet, but I'm sure I will soon!

Very tentative on my side! Big part of me wants to keep things as they are just me and Fred in our little house, but it's early days yet.

Smartie and Bom you've both had such tough years, hoping 2016 brings better things for you both xxx
