    Obviously not lee-yer then.

The most outrageous variation I can think of is 'Le' [as in French for 'the'] 'Ah'

    Le. Ah.

    Mon dew.

Bloody stupid isn't it, I really can't understand the need for 'different' names.
My name whilst not unusual now was when I was little and it was embarrassing and I hated my name, no child should be singled out because their parents are pricks lol

No! eek that's horrible, poor child shake head

I really can't see the point in trying to be quirky with a name either. My name is not unusual but as it wasn't especially common when I was young I got grief about it. There's just no need!

    unhappy poor kid

Hate it when parents copy celebrity names or think they are being unique or unusual, generally works out terribly for the child. For instance, we were out for lunch one day and a couple at the next table were with their daughter Beyonce who was a skinny, red haired, fair skinned little girl who definitely didn't suit her name.

I'm terrified my kids hate their names when they're older.

Oh dear. Perhaps when she's older and can choose she'll just be Lea (or Wilf gerrin), otherwise she will be spending her entire life telling people how to pronounce it.

Someone on my FB has a daughter called Neveah (pronounced ner-vay-ah) it is heaven spelled backwards.

I can understand wanting to pick a unique name for your child, but at the end of the day, there aren't really any completely unique names (apart from maybe weird made up ones that no child should be saddled with).

I heard an name that made me - WTF recently, but might just be me...

    "Quiggley" ?!
